REGULATION CE 2009/105

Many products sold in the European Union can be CE marked by the manufacturer, being of his full responsibility for the product's conformity with the relevant regulations.

Other products require a certification more complex, such as air compressors. The containers tested at a pressure of less than 30 bar air, it should be subdue to hydraulic test equivalent to 1.5 of its maximum working pressure, and that test must be certified by an approved body.

That is why a compressor marketed in the EU must incorporate a certificate deposit under regulations 2009/105 (Previous 87/404). To identify a reservoir that meets the standards, it must carry a welded plate which can not be removed or manipulated, identifying to the manufacturer and its official approval corresponding, meanwhile the stickers, labels or plates bolted or riveted were not valid.

Most compressors manufactured outside the EU do not have the appropriate certificate, and unfortunately they are introduced in the European Community for marketing without meeting this important requirement, taking advantage of the ignorance of the rules by the end users.

For your safety, always apply for your dealer for the corresponding certificate CE 2009/105 (Previous 87/404) with the serial number and make sure the compressor has plate approval welded.
